Protest at Parliament Street - Demanding Justice for Rabiya

What

A militant protest was held today, September 8 by AIDWA, NFIW, AIMSS, PMS, CSW and SMS at Parliament Street against the brutal gang rape and murder of a 21 year old young woman who was a Civil Defense personnel working in the SDM office at Lajpat Nagar. 

 

Women assembled at Jantar Mantar. They broke the police cordon and marched to Parliament Street shouting slogans - we demand justice, Modi sarkar murdabad, stop protecting the culprits, rehabilitate the victim's family, take action against officers for dereliction of duty, etc.

 

AIDWA leaders, Mariam Dhawale, S Punyavathi, Asha Sharma, Maimoona Mollah, Sarbani Sarkar and many Delhi state office bearers and others participated in the protest.
