Save India Convention Against Assault on Women’s Citizenship Rights

19 Dec 2017
Previous Next

What

The growing atmosphere of intolerance, increasing violence against women and the dangerous consequences of the assertion of regressive and reactionary ideologies has resulted in a serious assault on the citizenship rights of women. Enforcing their parallel system of meting out ‘justice’ according to their ideology based on Manusmriti, the attacks by the Sangh Parivar on Muslims, Dalits, Christians and women have multiplied manifold. Women are being targeted and have to bear the brunt of moral policing, honour killings and sexual violence. All progressive values are sought to be overturned. Of course resistance is also growing but we need to continue to challenge the onslaught.

It is to raise a strong united voice against the countrywide mayhem that AIDWA has organised this convention. Please see the details overleaf.

It would be a pleasure to have you join us to assert our democratic rights.
