What

A public seminar of women was organised on December 9 by the Kerala State Library Council at Cherupulassery in Palakkad district. The topic of the Seminar was "Socio-religious Reforms and Women". It was held in the context of the thoroughly reactionary stand of the RSS-BJP and the Congress on the Sabarimala women's temple entry issue. The seminar was inaugurated by AIDWA general secretary Mariam Dhawale and was addressed by Dr K V Kunnikrishnan, president of the State Library Council, M Kasim Master, secretary of the Palakkad district library council and others. Around 300 women participated in this seminar.
